Terms of Service

The Service provides AI-powered translation of e-books, text files, and subtitle files, powered by a US-based model provider while preserving the original formatting. The Service is provided on an "as-is" basis; we continuously improve it but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

You must register with a valid email and sign in via magic link. You are responsible for maintaining control of your sign-in inbox; any actions taken through your account are considered yours.

One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to exploit the free signup bonus is prohibited.

1 credit = 1 source character. You may purchase credit packs for translations. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full credit card details.

New signups receive 1,000 credits. Credits are non-refundable cash-equivalents and cannot be transferred.

Credits do not expire unless your account is terminated under these Terms.

Credits are non-refundable except (a) where the Service fails outright and cannot be retried, or (b) clear duplicate charges. Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of purchase via email.

"Translation quality did not meet expectations" is not grounds for a refund — please use the free allowance to evaluate quality first.

You retain full ownership of the files you upload and the translations we produce for you. We claim no rights over your content and do not use it to train AI models.

The Service's software, UI design, and trademarks belong to Txtlate.

You agree not to use the Service to translate: (a) copyrighted content you do not have rights to, (b) illegal, pornographic, violent, or discriminatory material, (c) content intended to harm third parties. Violators have their accounts terminated immediately and forfeit unused credits.

AI translations may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. We do not warrant that translations are suitable for commercial, legal, medical, or any other high-stakes use. You bear full responsibility for how you use the translated output.

We may terminate or suspend your account with notice for reasons including but not limited to: breach of these Terms, fraud, extended inactivity. If we terminate your account other than for breach, we will refund unused credits at their purchase value.

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email and reflected by the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (R.O.C.). Disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Taipei District Court as the court of first instance.
